💬 Why it works:

Aloe vera draws moisture into the hair while marshmallow root provides slip, allowing curls to clump and form without resistance. This reduces friction during styling, and creates a smooth foundation for definition and hold.

🧠 Chloé’s Recommendation:

This is my go-to base gel for tighter curl patterns who are new to wash and go styling and need hydration and slip before applying a holding topper gel. It works best when your hair is soaking wet — that’s what gives you that smooth, defined finish. It should prime, not coat your hair.

If your hair is finer, lower density, or you prefer a quicker drying routine, this can feel too wet or slow to set. In that case, I’d reach for I Create Hold as your main styler instead.

For best results, use this as your foundation and layer a stronger hold gel on top (like I Create Hold) if you want your definition to last.
